Multiverse

Edit multiple scenes, prefabs, and other assets simultaneously.

Multiverse revolutionizes the age-old Prefab workflow, by enabling you to open and edit as many prefabs as you want, in multiple windows.

The result? A whole new world of iteration speed, where you can instantly tweak, modify, and live-view results in your scene. As we all learn sooner or later in game dev, faster iteration is the ultimate boost for creativity, polish, and a better product.

UPDATE: We’re currently running an open Beta, meaning you can download, share and use it all you like! Let us know if you hit bugs or have feature requests, and please help us out by spreading the word to your friends and networks!

To open a Prefab, simply click the “Edit” icon in the Hierarchy, or double-click the asset in the Project view. Right click menu actions are also available, and you can toggle the double-click behavior from Project Settings.

Open as many prefabs as you like! Dock them for continuous use, or keep them floating for quick editing. With a fully configurable UI, you can optimize for small or large viewing, complex or minimal editing, whatever your needs. Set defaults or modify on the fly with quick, configurable shortcuts.

Complete local Hierarchy and Inspector for editing, with custom styling and “Tabbed” mode for minimal space requirements.

Includes standard Move, Rotate, and Scale tools, with Local and Global coordinate space controls. Also, Blender-style keyboard input, axis locking, and grid snapping!

Visual “change list”, to see and choose which changes you’d like to keep. This will also warn and provide options if your asset is overridden externally.

We’re solidifying around this core set of features, with more to come. Give the Open Beta a try, then drop by the Discord to let us know what you think! We’d love to get detailed feature requests and bug reports, but a simple thumbs-up will make our day too đŸ™‚
